Description of business unit

New Ireland Company Wide Technology Team are responsible for introducing best in class technologies. Working towards our Business Vision, this team maximises technology usage; allowing teams to efficiently and sustainably deliver solutions.

Purpose of the Role

The Senior Sales Force Architect will take a central lead role in New Ireland Technical Architecture.

The role will involve ownership of Technical Design of New Irelands existing Sales Force implementation. The role will also involve working with New Ireland Sales Force implementation partners to ensure New Ireland design principles & standards and best practices are adhered to.

The role will keep abreast of Sales Force product lifecycle, ensuring New Ireland implementation will not be adversely affected by product changes and also tracking feature enhancements to ensure New Ireland maximise use of the Sales Force platform.

The role will also track and utilise appropriate Sales Force App Exchange offerings to suit New Ireland. You will be creative in utilising new technologies and methodologies, ensuring that they are introduced appropriately onto the Technology estate.

The role will lead the training and mentoring of Sales Force technical competency within the New Ireland delivery teams.

To be successful in this role you must be able to efficiently deliver business outcomes for sustainable software change. You must be confident in your role as Senior Sales Force Technical Architect; you must have excellent communication and engagement skills, and be comfortable dealing with complex architectures across the domain.

Key Accountabilities

As the Senior Technical Sales Force Architect you will:

  • Be the New Ireland Sales Force Technical expert and Sales Force business implementation expert.
  • Contribute to the entire software development life cycle from the initial business requirement phase to deployment and production support
  • Design, plan and oversee implementations, working with other team members to ensure the solution is robust, efficient and sustainable.
  • Work with New Ireland Sales Force implementation partners, reviewing their proposals and implementations
  • Working with wider Technology teams to drive continuous improvement in management of change
  • Represent Sales Force platform implementations with New Ireland Security/Data governance.
  • Investigate, evaluate and introduce features, apps & techniques to allow New Ireland utilise Sales Force to its maximum
  • Lead and work with a team of New Ireland developers to ensure their Sales Force Skillset is appropriate for NIAC.
  • Documents and maintain all the appropriate architecture artefacts
  • Interacting with other team members and management to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit. Develop and review User Procedures for new functionality and changes to existing functionality
  • Provide estimates and regular project status updates for implementation progress
  • Conduct peer reviews of change, minimising custom development where possible.
  • Review New Ireland Sales Force implementation proposals for accuracy.
  • Build sound relationships with all customers both within and outside IT, in particular Business Digital channels.

Essential Qualifications

  • 3rdLevel Degree in Computer Science/Technical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 6 + Salesforce Certifications minimum with (or on path to) Sales Force Domain Architect

Essential Skills & Experience

Technical Experience:

8+ years' Technical experience to include:

  • 5+ years in Sales Force Technical implementation
  • 3+ years in Sales Force Solution/Technical Architecture

Technical Skills:

  • Sales Force Lightning platform
  • Strong background in Community Cloud that included maintenance of a large number of users
  • Sales Cloud and Service Cloud knowledge/experience
  • Salesforce Shield & Own Backup exposure
  • Experience with CI/CD software and methodologies
    Optimise non-production levels, etc.
  • Javascript /Node/LWC
  • Platform Developer
  • Appropriate SF certifications
  • Data Architecture & Management
    • Secure at rest, Secure in transit, Secure in Back up, High availability, etc
  • Identity Management
    • Sales Force UAM, utilising and integrating different Identity Managers with Sales Force Just In Time provisioning
  • Systems Architecture
  • Application Design
  • Business Process
  • Extract, Transform & Load expertise
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Flexibility and experience of managing changing priorities effectively
  • Exposure to working with implementation partners and suppliers
  • Ability to represent designs appropriately to non-technical audiences

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Team lead/people management experience an advantage
  • AWS Cloud experience
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Takes personal responsibility for accuracy and quality
