Description of Business Unit

Our Group Procurement team is part of Group Technology & Customer Solutions. Partner Relationship Management, Supplier Risk Management & Governance and Procurement Services & Transformation provide support to all Divisions and Business Units.

We facilitate the effective purchase of goods and services across the Bank. We do so with the aim of enhancing value from our total spend whilst protecting against supplier risk.

Our Business Partner Management function incorporates Category Business Partnering and Strategic Partner Relationship Management.

Key Accountabilities

This role provides support in the management of the procurement function

  • Support the BOI Procurement team on any sourcing activities
  • Work with the Software asset management function and sourcing team to maintain and update the software budget
  • Work with the business on any budget queries and resolution and provide reporting on a monthly basis
  • Support the maintenance of the overall Procurement team budget, including accruals forecasts etc
  • Support the query management including goods receipt and resolution into all software payments
  • Support the processing of software requests shopping cart and payments, including new software and renewals
  • Work closely with key partners on all new Software requests and keep budget file up to date
  • Work closely with key partners to ensure all software renewal quotes are received from Third parties and processed in a timely manner to ensure payment and no risk
  • Work with Outsource provider to identify and report on savings for software to ensure budget is current
  • Support the Business Partners in their interactions with business partners

This job can be done anywhere in Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin to which travel will be required for in person collaboration. Exact frequency to be agreed with manager.

Essential Qualifications

3-5 years of relevant business / procurement experience.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Ability to work with spreadsheets
  • Understanding of the sourcing process
  • Analytical, logical and interpretive ability
  • Ability to influence others using logical analysis and persuasive discussion
  • Ability to explain the complex simply, to maximise understanding in others
  • Basic ability to understand and manage budgets
  • High standard of numerical and verbal literacy and consistency.
  • Ability to re-prioritise and re-focus at short notice where required
  • Knowledge of software processes and advantage
  • Ability to work as part of a team to achieve team objectives
  • Good organisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Applies common sense and judgement - able to use their experience to rapidly assess situations and make decisions and act at pace
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office especially excel

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • University degree in Business, Finance or related field
  • A professional qualification in Procurement e.g., CPSM, CIPs, IIPMM desirable
