About Us

Technology Services (TS) is responsible for ensuring that the technology required for the bank to deliver service to internal and external customers is available and ready for use and regularly reviewed and optimised. It also ensures that the services are supported and managed in a standard way and that new services are introduced in a controlled manner to prevent disruption to operation.

What is the opportunity?

As Bank of Ireland's Service Integrator, Technology Services is accountable for IT Service Delivery in a multi-vendor outsourced model. Technology Services integrates the services of our Application, Infrastructure and Network vendors into a suite of IT Services focussing on the delivery of a great customer experience.

The successful candidate will work closely with our partners and the relevant service owners to optimise partner relationship to support the Group Strategy and ensure controls are in place and tested.

Key Accountabilities

This role with support from an offshore partner will be responsible for supporting the Technology Service Relationship managers to manage and track the performance of the Tier 2 - 4 supply base.

To ensure an adequate and consistent process methodology is in place and followed to a high standard by our partners/suppliers

Oversight and reporting of the sourcing profile of the Bank in relation to third-party arrangements

Execute the end-to-end supplier governance strategy for Tier 2 - Tier 4 Technology Services suppliers in conjunction with our offshore partners

Support the Relationship manager and be the trusted contact point of escalation for both business and suppliers

Ensure the capture of timely and relevant risk and performance data for management reporting

Provide risk, compliance and governance related data analytics and associated management reporting in particular tracking that the required cadence of reviews and assessments is being met, including but not limited to: Contract obligations, RADAR, RCSAs, Know Your Supplier, Business Continuity, Exit Planning etc

Ongoing tracking and reporting of open issues to ensure all are updated in a timely manner and do not go overdue

Support GIA reviews/audits relating to in-scope suppliers

Support responding to requests from regulatory authorities, GOR and others for information/evidence on key suppliers.

Ensure compliance with contract change management process and that contract database is maintained

About You

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Relevant business experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of relevant Regulatory and Legal frameworks
  • Analytical, logical, and interpretive ability to interpret scenarios, express concepts and maintain consistency
  • Ability to influence others using logical analysis and persuasive discussion
  • Ability to explain the complex simply, to maximise understanding in others
  • Ability to manage complexity and a high volume of data with attention to detail
  • High standard of numerical and verbal literacy and consistency.
  • Ability to re-prioritise and re-focus at short notice where required
  • Knowledge of risk and control reporting processes
  • Knowledge of out-sourcing contracts and willingness to work with external suppliers
  • Knowledge of end-to-end procurement and supplier management processes
  • Ability to work as part of a team to achieve team objectives
  • Good organisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Applies common sense and judgement - able to use their experience to rapidly assess situations and make decisions and act at pace
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • 3rdLevel Qualification in Business, Finance, ICT, or related field
  • Experience of Banking, Financial Services or another regulated environment

This job can be done anywhere in Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin to which travel will be required for in person collaboration. Exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
