In a multi-outsourced environment, Vendor Management is a critical function to the organisations.

The scope of the function will manage 22 vendors representing >40% of BOI spend

All major IT and Services are delivered (Data centres, Telco, Application services, project and programme delivery, Testing...).

The well known Blue chip vendors are critical providers to BOI

Each vendor manager owns the end to end relationship with its supplier

For the complex vendors, the vendor managers is supported by the Contract, Risk and Compliance team

The team is split between Run and Change vendors. The Run vendors are typically Managed services vendors, the change vendors are mainly involved in CBS and Change Zone (Programme, project based) in place

Location: THus role is based in Dublin City Centre.

  • Alignment to Business Objectives & Outcomes
  • Supplier Review & E2E Relationship Management
  • Single and consistent point of view of vendor performance
  • Vendor peer comparisons
  • Senior Stakeholder engagement in a standard Governance
  • Data driven evaluations (Metrics, SLAs, Scorecards)
  • Continuous improvement plans
  • Innovation measured and awarded
  • Escalation Management

Essential Educational requirement:

Business or Engineering degree, MBA or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Relationship Management:

  • Communication to all external and internal stakeholders at various level
  • Influencing strategic decisions based on fact and figures
  • Working together with Finance, Risks and the technical teams
  • Build and maintain relationships to win support
  • Achieve Results
  • Manage the Vendor Governance in a timely manner, prioritise various agendas and goals
  • Analyse various service performance data and present them in a coherent, strategic and standard manner
  • Develop improvement plans in partnership with the vendors and in more general solve problems

Business acumen and management of Change

  • Using market/technical knowledge to improve the Vendor governance and vendor performance
  • Understand the Vendor`s goals and priorities to pre-empt escalation and manage key outcomes for BOI and our customers
  • Challenge the status/quo internally and to our vendors processes/delivery and manage change
