What is the opportunity?

As a Solutions Architect, you will help shape New Ireland's Wealth and Insurance technology landscape. You will design end-to-end solutions for Life and Pensions Policy Administration Systems, support the modernisation of legacy platforms and help connect business needs with technology delivery.
This is an opportunity to influence architectural direction and integration strategy while working with colleagues and senior stakeholders across the organisation. You will play an important part in helping our technology evolve towards flexible, future-ready solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Design end-to-end solutions for enterprise Life and Pensions Policy Administration Systems, integrating them with on-premises and cloud platforms.
  • Lead integration initiatives across the Wealth and Insurance technology landscape, connecting legacy systems with modern platforms.
  • Translate complex architectural designs into clear, accessible language for senior stakeholders and non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure solutions align with business needs, technology standards and enterprise governance requirements.
  • Contribute to architectural reviews and solution integrity checks, working collaboratively with architects, engineers, governance specialists and business partners.

What will make you stand out?

You will have strong experience of Life and Pensions Policy Administration Systems and designing solutions that integrate systems using different core technologies.
You will be comfortable working across legacy and modern architectures and navigating a complex technology environment. The ability to build positive relationships with senior stakeholders and explain architectural concepts clearly to different audiences will also support your success in this role.
Experience with the following will help you stand out but is not required to apply for this role:
  • Delivering enterprise-level integration or modernisation programmes.
  • Transitioning legacy systems towards future-ready architectures.
  • Applying governance frameworks and working with enterprise banking platforms.
  • Using modern integration approaches, including Application Programming Interface (API)-led design, event-driven services and cloud-based connectivity.

Essential qualifications

A degree in a relevant Information Technology discipline, such as Computer Science, Information Systems or Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

More about the team

You will join a collaborative technology team working across Wealth, Insurance and Enterprise Banking Systems. The team supports New Ireland's integration and modernisation agenda, helping legacy platforms evolve towards future-state architectures while ensuring solutions meet business, technology and governance standards.
You will work alongside architects, engineers, governance specialists and business partners, giving you opportunities to contribute to solution assurance, architectural reviews and cross-functional decisions.
This is a hybrid role, based primarily at our Ballsbridge office. We typically ask colleagues to spend a minimum of 8 days per month working in-person to support collaboration and connection.
