Bank of Ireland Workbench in 125 O`Connell St Limerick is a place of synergies. It`s at the intersection where Startups meet with each other, the bank and other enterprises. Users can avail of complimentary facilities working in the free co-working space that places a strong emphasis on maintaining a strong & vibrant culture.

The Role

The Workbench Manager is the face of the workbench within the wider community. Tasks will include running the day-to-day operations of the workbench and engaging with and assisting the companies in any areas of need. This can include making connections, running events, attending other events, research, marketing & more. Working with a diverse range of high growth companies makes for a challenging role but one that the right individual should find very rewarding.

On a daily basis the ideal candidate will:

  • Provide a superb customer experience to the Users of the workbench
  • Identify the needs of the Startups and assist them with anything
  • Arrange the logistics for mentor sessions
  • Ensure the upkeep of the workbench area
  • Prepare, run and analyse events
  • Maintain the workbench`s social media presence
  • Constantly innovate and think of new and exciting ways to wow

Essential Qualifications:

  • Level 8 degree

This Job Might Be For You If

  • You have stellar communication skills. You know there is no such thing as over-communication and you know how to organize to keep a large organization informed about the workbench
  • You are a self-starter. You can work independently to get things done. You can project manage and event manage without much hands-on support. You have a proven track record as a problem solver
  • As the only Workbench Manager you have to be comfortable working alone but equally capable of building relationships with the workbench users, wider community, bank staff and BOI community managers to get the most for the Users of the workbench
  • Have an exceptional attitude, deep curiosity, desire to meet new people and are comfortable with technology driven companies
  • You can champion your local Startup and Business communities at events
  • Have experience in a Startup environment or at minimum a deep understanding of Startups
