My day would vary greatly depending on the time of the year, deadlines coming up and if there are any ad-hoc queries. This provides for a really interesting and variable work day. My day could involve a mixture of model building, problem solving, monitoring trends, data analysis, report writing and engaging with our internal customers.
The best thing about my job is the challenge and variability. The work is (nearly) always interesting and engaging. The atmosphere is also really good which makes coming to work in the morning so much easier.
The tendency for things to all happen at once; going from having one or two things on your plate to several. This can mean some long days every now and then.
I really enjoy my job so getting up is never really an issue. I find I learn new things all the time and am given the opportunities to develop myself. The culture in New Ireland is really friendly and I’ve made lots of great friends while working here.
