What does a day in Bank of Ireland look like?

As a result of ever changing business environment, impact of economic factors and upcoming changes in accounting standards and regulatory governance impacting the Bank, every day brings a new challenge for me. One of my key responsibilities is to ensure that we are set up to meet the new accounting requirements and deliver powerful commercial insight to our internal and external stakeholders.  To do this successfully, regular interaction with my stakeholders is a key part of my role.

What's the best thing about your job?

Having an excellent team which supports me to deliver not only the normal business as usual challenges but also having the technical expertise and business knowledge to support me on any ad-hoc transactions that happen in the business.

What challenges you in your job?

Every day brings a new challenge, and sometimes there aren’t enough hours in a day, however my team and I all work hard and enjoy delivering for our stakeholders.  It is always fulfilling and satisfying when you are able to deliver the key asks in line with the required deadlines.
