What does a day in Bank of Ireland look like?

In financial control we act as the principal point of contact between the Finance Business Partner and Finance Services.  I would be responsible for ensuring the month end close process for Distribution Channels is completed correctly as well as any ad hoc requests that come our way.

What's the best thing about your job?

I enjoy my job as it is a challenging role, I am gaining good business insight and I enjoy the team in which I work.

What challenges you in your job? 

I am new to this role, having started only 2 months ago, so there is a large amount of information to absorb and understand.  I need to ensure that my interpretations are correct and I present them accurately. That is currently the most challenging part of my role.  I am receiving loads of help though so that makes it all the easier.

What gets you up in the morning?

I work in a really good team and a positive environment so it makes it all the easier to get up and do a day’s work.
