Feeling a bit nervous about your upcoming online interview? That’s completely normal - and we’re here to help. This guide is designed to make sure you feel confident, comfortable and fully prepared for your virtual meeting. Let’s get started!

Your interview invitation

If your interview with Bank of Ireland is online, you’ll get a Microsoft Teams invite by email for the agreed date and time.

Be sure to check in with your recruiter if you don't receive the link in advance!

Get Microsoft Teams ready

Download the Microsoft Teams App to your preferred device for the interview. You can do so by visiting the following page: Download Microsoft Teams Desktop and Mobile Apps | Microsoft Teams.

Choose the right space

Prepare for your virtual interview by finding a quiet and bright space where you feel comfortable. If you're not sure what to wear, you can ask your recruiter about the dress code.

We want you to feel confident and at ease at all times!

Check your tech

Before your interview, make sure that your internet connection is stable, your device is charged, your Microsoft Teams App is working properly and that the sound on your device is adjusted to your liking.

Be yourself

At Bank of Ireland, we’re proud to support hybrid and flexible working. Microsoft Teams is a key part of how we connect with colleagues and customers every day.

So there’s no need to feel nervous - just try to remove any distractions and chat with your interview panel as if you were meeting in person.

We hope this guide has helped you to feel more prepared and at ease in advance of your online interview. If you have any other questions, just reach out. We’re here to support you every step of the way. Best of luck!
