Your online application is reviewed by our recruiters and by the hiring manager. They will match your skills and experience to the job to see if you are the right candidate for the next stage!
If you have been successful you will then be invited for an interview with a panel of colleagues from Bank of Ireland.

We know interviews can be stressful, especially when you're trying to remember the perfect examples to showcase your skills and experience. We want to help you to prepare better and ease that anxiety.
We've put together a list of common interview questions, categorized by the competencies you might be assessed on. Each competency has different levels (Self, People Manager and Leader), so you can tailor your preparation appropriately.

Here is the entrance to Baggot Plaza, one of our main offices in Dublin for in-person interviews. We have a wheelchair accessible entrance here and also in most of our branches and offices.
Top tip: arrive to your interview 10 minutes early.
When you enter the building you will not be able to pass the security desk in reception. Here you can sign in as a visitor and wait for your interviewer to come and meet you.
Top tip: dress code for in-person interviews are casual formal, we want you to feel comfortable at every stage of your interview process.
Once your interviewer greets you, you will walk through the foyer towards the interview room. At this time if you need to use the bathroom or require extra breathing time or a quiet area, please request so. All of our interviewers have completed inclusive hiring training and we are very understanding!

Here is an example of one of our meeting rooms in Baggot Plaza where your interview will be held. We always strive to create a balanced interview panel for your interview; balanced in gender, ethnicity, neurodivergences & more!
Top tip: if you require a quieter room or lower lighting please do so before interview in a Reasonable Accommodation request, or do not be afraid to disclose any request in-person at your interview.

Get prepared for your online/virtual interview by finding a quiet and bright space where you feel comfortable. Dress code for virtual interviews is smart casual, we want you to feel comfortable at all times.
Before your interview begins make sure to test that your internet connection is secure, your device is charged, your Microsoft Teams App is working and that the sound on your device is to your preference.
