Bank of Ireland offer lots of training course choices from industry recognised certification, internal training pathways and soft skills courses. This has helped me grow my skills and progress my career. The in-person training courses have also been a great way to expand my network within the bank.

Working at Bank of Ireland, I feel a sense of comfort. The supportive networks that are available are incredible and provides the assurance needed to put my mind at ease knowing that whatever situation that may arise in my life the bank has got my back. 

The mixture of classical and modern ways of working and technologies suits me since there is no perfection and we strive to evolve as humans, a business and an industry. Flexible working brings a balance to most colleagues and leverages our time to ensure we are solving real issues.

The Bank at Work facility has been very useful in speaking to bank advisors who can guide us with the financial products that the bank has to offer. I always look forward to the sessions that the Financial Wellbeing team organises that gets you thinking about important things like your will, personal finances, taxes and pensions.

The benefits package is good at Bank of Ireland.  There is a really good pension plan and we also get a health insurance contribution.  There are also good resources and supports for training in support of your role, but also for learning new things.

I have always been appreciated and recognized for my hard work, job knowledge and deliverables by my managers and colleagues. Immense support and encouragement from my managers and colleagues enables me to improve and excel in my work. Other teams in different areas in the Bank are also very cohesive, and this helps us deliver larger projects seamlessly. 

Banking is very important to the economy and to society and without it communities and businesses could not thrive. I am very proud to work for such a historic “Pillar Bank” in Ireland and one that offers such a broad range of products and services to personal and business customers, to corporates and investors alike. I think it’s important for the Bank to have a physical presence and I have also seen personally that the Bank looks after its vulnerable customers well.
