Accounting & Finance Graduate Programme 2025

  • Dublin, Republic of Ireland
  • Full time
  • Closing on: Oct 31 2024

The Finance Division is responsible for all financial and management reporting processes across Bank of Ireland Group. Over the course of three years and comprising three rotations, this programme stream is specifically developed to enable Graduates to develop the vital skills that will accelerate development and growth.

The Programme

You will build strong management, interpersonal and technical skills, as well as getting exposure to business critical projects in a fast paced environment.

You are empowered throughout to seek new experiences and expand your network through cross collaboration. We ensure you experience different areas of the business, or contribute to meaningful transformation projects that support our Group strategy.

The Opportunity

You will gain exposure to internal management reporting and external financial reporting (including interim and annual statutory accounts), pre-close statements, published accounts and investor briefings.

This programme will build your expertise in MI and data analytics - and comprehensive product knowledge in the areas of sophisticated treasury and financial instruments, credit/market/liquidity risk, balance sheet management and capital requirements.

Working with a wide variety of colleagues across many different levels and divisions will allow you to build a substantial network to support your career development.

Through our unique Digital Academy, you will also be able to explore opportunities and future career paths, as well as receiving top-class guidance through the our Mentorship Programme.

Members of the Graduate Programme have strong visibility in Bank of Ireland with regular touchpoints with Leadership, including the CEO and Executive Committee.

Our Graduate Programme is often a feeder into one of Bank of Ireland's talent programmes which are developed to accelerate the growth of identified impactful individuals.

What you will get in return

A strong understanding of how the financial reporting process works for a large publicly quoted company, together with an appreciation of the importance of internal control, with a key focus on SOX requirements.

You will receive considerable assistance to support you in attaining an accountancy qualification, which is a requirement for any applicant to the programme.

In addition to this you will embark on a tailored Graduate Development Programme, a blend of virtual and classroom training, facilitating connections with peers, the organisation, and its culture. Over the program's duration, you'll develop crucial skills ranging from relationship management, Business Promotion Techniques and presentation techniques and financial well-being

We are committed to providing you with significant flexibility to help you to thrive. Key to this is our hybrid working model. We have administrative buildings, remote working hubs, and work from home options that are centred on enabling and empowering you to work in a way that is more flexible and productive for you. To ensure we work effectively in our teams and the wider organisation, the approach will vary given the nature of the role, your individual preference, and your team's agreed ways of working.
