What is the opportunity?

We are looking for a talented Developer with experience in Salesforce.com to join the New Ireland IT organization. You will be responsible for development activities on our Salesforce.com platform and be on the front line of implementing new features and functionalities and optimizing the operational process along the way.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with high capacity and desire to think strategically to develop new features and resolve problems anywhere on the platform!

In this role, you will:

  • Lead all development efforts on the Salesforce.com platform and manage the overall development process from design to deployment.
  • Build configuration-first solutions to solve critical business problems and design complex technical solutions and integrations.
  • Promote advanced capabilities of the platform such as automation, AI, and bots
  • Improve existing complex customizations; reduce technical debt and deficiencies
  • Provide strategic guidance on design and architecture
  • Serve as an informal resource for peers with less experience
  • Aligns teams to collaborate to solve complex problems

What will make you stand out?

A strong candidate will have experience with Development, Configuration, Implementation and Support of Salesforce applications leveraging Apex, Lightning, Lightning Web Components, and the salesforce.com APIs. Knowledge with Service Cloud and Communities / Experience Cloud and is a salesforce.com Sales and Service Clouds expert.

You will be able to manage and deliver Salesforce.com projects using Github, Devops and Jira a plus and leadtechnical requirements gathering and building solutions from those requirement. Significant experience in practicing agile methodologies, including lean and continuous integration environments and a deep understanding of multiple environments, patterns and languages, especially including XML, HTML, SQL, Javascript and JSON, and CSS

Essential Qualifications

  • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I and II certified

The Salesforce Platform Developer position is part of the I.T group within the Wealth and Insurance busines unit. The team comprises a dynamic and dedicated mix of I.T professionals across the entire Software Delivery Lifecycle. The role will have a significant impact in designing, developing and enhancing our primary customer facing applications.

This job can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin to which travel will be required for in person collaboration.
