Join the leading bank in Ireland as the driving force behind our Cloud Adoption initiative. Lead a dedicated organisation of Cloud Engineering, Architecture, and Cloud Business Office teams spearheading our Digital Transformation efforts. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring our systems remain available and secure by using pioneering technologies and standard processes.

As the Head of the Cloud Centre of Excellence , you will be responsible for continuously evaluating and enhancing our Cloud Operating Model. Your goal will be to enable the bank to move swiftly while maintaining a solid focus on resilience.

In this Role, you will

  • Enable the Bank's Traditional and DevOps teams with Agile approach through the delivery of cloud services on demand.
  • Manage Group's cloud platforms to deliver increased security, compliance and operational integrity by design, ensuring alignment with all appropriate enterprise standards and frameworks.
  • Enhance and mature a scalable Cloud Target Operating Model that delivers value to BOI through innovation, cost optimisation, enhanced Governance and Security Controls, Regulatory and Risk compliance for Cloud Services and Cloud Service providers.
  • Develop and align the Cloud Roadmap and Cloud Target Operating Model to support BOI's strategic priorities to transform the bank and serve customers brilliantly.
  • Develop the Cloud Centre of Expert that accelerates Cloud adoption.
  • Align the Cloud operating model with all appropriate enterprise standards and frameworks.
  • Provide thought leadership and develop a group wide engagement model to enable the adoption of Cloud across Bank of Ireland
  • Lead the Cloud Centre of Excellence with the support of our partners and internal teams in the Cloud Platform Engineering, Cloud Solutions Design and Cloud Business Office areas.

What will make you stand out?

You are an established leader with strong people management experience who can influence others through strong collaboration while maintaining effective relationships.

You will have a good understanding of design and architectural patterns, as well as automation platforms on public cloud services, preferably AWS and Azure.

Have proven experience in cloud transformation within a regulated industry which will make you stand out!

Significant experience in Audit, Regulatory, Risk, and Compliance engagements within a highly regulated industry, understanding regulatory expectations across jurisdictions, the challenges of multi-region/global FS institutions, and the implications for data and technology.

Experience with Agile/SCRUM development methodologies.

You will have strong commercial acumen and the ability to deliver complex IT and business change transformations, focusing on continual innovation and cost optimisation.

You will be self-directed, proactive, and able to work on your own initiative with a best practice approach.

You will have excellent facilitation skills, high energy, and resilience, with a focus on relationship management and driving successful outcomes.

The Infrastructure Operations Team role is to "Enable the Service" through driving our teams and partners in providing the Bank with the Technology required to run the business, securing the Customers and Banks data, improving stability and remaining current in order to provide a premier service. The Cloud Centre of Excellence has the mission to enable Cloud and to act as a trusted advisor for the Cloud Adoption, Governance and Run in the Bank which is a foundation for Digital Transformation

This is a hybrid onsite role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as IT Centre, Cabinteely, Dublin 18. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration - exact frequency to be agreed with manager. #LI-HYBRID #IJ-HYBRID
