What is the opportunity ?

The Head of Protection & Annuity Business holds a key leadership role. This role oversees strategic direction, commercial performance, and customer value delivery for all Protection and Annuity lines.

In this role you will:

  • Strategic Leadership & Performance: Develop and deliver roadmaps for each business line, align with customer needs and market trends, monitor profitability, and present strategic updates to senior leadership.
  • Product & Proposition Development: Lead teams through the full product lifecycle, drive innovation and continuous improvement, adapt to demographic and regulatory trends, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver competitive, well-priced pension and annuity solutions.
  • Governance & Risk Management: Ensure robust governance, risk oversight, & compliance with regulatory standards, encouraging transparency & accountability.
  • Team & Organisational Leadership: Contribute to IPP and broader organisational leadership, role-modelling values, and promoting a high-performance, inclusive culture.

New Ireland Assurance is responsible for the administration of all New Ireland Assurance and Bank of Ireland Life's Individual and Group business. Our focus is on delivering outstanding service and ensuring that the highest quality and control standards are maintained at all times.

This is a hybrid role based in Dublin. We typically ask colleagues to spend a minimum of 8 days per month working in-person to support teamwork and connection. Specific arrangements will be confirmed by your recruiter to ensure they meet the needs of the role and team.
