What is the opportunity?

The Head of Protection and Annuity Business is a senior leadership role with responsibility for setting the strategic direction, commercial performance and customer value delivery across New Ireland Assurance's Protection and Annuity portfolio. Leading a team of experienced professionals, you will shape future propositions, respond to changing customer and market needs, and ensure sustainable growth while maintaining strong governance and regulatory standards.

In this role, you will:

  • Set and deliver clear strategies and multi?'year roadmaps for the Protection and Annuity business lines, aligned to customer needs, market trends and business priorities.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high?'performing team, creating an inclusive environment that supports collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the full product lifecycle, from proposition development to ongoing performance management, working closely with colleagues across product, distribution, risk and operations.
  • Drive strong commercial outcomes by monitoring profitability, market positioning and customer value.
  • Ensure effective governance, risk management and regulatory compliance across all areas of responsibility.

New Ireland Assurance is responsible for the administration of all New Ireland Assurance and Bank of Ireland Life individual and group business. The team is focused on delivering dependable outcomes for customers, while maintaining strong quality, control and regulatory standards.

This role operates at the centre of a collaborative, experienced leadership group that values shared accountability and customer focus.

This is a hybrid role, based primarily in Dublin. We typically ask colleagues to spend a minimum of 8 days per month working in?'person to support collaboration and connection. Specific arrangements will be confirmed by your recruiter to ensure they meet the needs of the role and team.
