What is the opportunity?

Ready to lead customer content creation? As the Senior Marketing Manager of Customer Content, you will craft a unified content strategy that touches hearts and minds across a variety of media - letters, emails, text, web pages and even podcasts. You will be the shining beacon for stellar content, championing consistency and excellence for customer communications.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement a robust content strategy that aligns with our brand values and business goals - promotional, educational, interactive and supportive content.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of content, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
  • Ensure all content aligns with industry regulations and standards.
  • Leverage new technologies to create personalised and scalable content.
  • Lead and encourage a dedicated team of copywriters, encouraging a culture of creativity and innovation.
  • Collaborate closely with research and design teams to ensure content is human-centric - have a customer first approach.
  • Work closely with the Brand CoE, acting as a guardian of our brand identity and voice to ensure consistency and authenticity is in every message.
  • Monitor and analyse content performance, using data-driven insights to refine and improve our strategy.
  • Advocate for the importance of a great content across the bank, influencing stakeholders and driving a culture of excellence.

  • A strong background in customer content strategy, with experience in customer experience or design.
  • Proficiency in creating compelling content for a variety of media, from snappy text to informative podcasts.
  • Outstanding leadership skills, with a curiosity about developing talent and sparking creativity.
  • A strategic mentality, with the ability to align content with business goals and drive measurable results.
  • Stellar communication skills, capable of influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A passion for great content and a deep understanding of its impact on customer experience.

Experience with any of the following will help you to stand out but is not necessary to apply for this role.

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English or Creative Writing
  • Previous experience in the financial industry

A new role in the Group Customer Office (GCO) will be the driving force behind building a customer centric culture at all levels of the organisation. The new GCO division will be responsible for development of a Group wide Customer Strategy focused on listening to the voice of our customers and putting them at the heart of decision making for the Bank. They ensure that we are actively listening to our customers, advocating for their needs, and putting customers first across all divisions within the Group. The GCO will work to build a culture where both colleagues and customers choose, stay and advocate for Bank of Ireland.
