What is the opportunity?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and numerate individual to join the Bank Of Ireland Global Markets Belfast Dealing Team. This role entails a combination of customer interaction, deal execution, delivering hedging solutions as well as responsibility for daily administrative tasks. The role provides an excellent opportunity to participate in a fulfilling and challenging markets environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Proactively service the Treasury needs of Retail, Business Banking & Corporate customers (including foreign exchange (FX), interest rate hedging (IRH), money market and digital product offering)
  • Liaise with and build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of all regulatory obligations and procedures to ensure compliance (eg MiFID II)
  • Provide a professional and unrivalled service to our external and internal customers to differentiate our offering from our competitors.
  • Be informed on financial markets to be capable of confidently providing views, opinions and solutions to customers.

  • A strong understanding of financial markets, excellent numerical ability and commercial savvy
  • Team focused with strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication and relationship building/networking skills
  • Drive and commitment to working in a customer focused business that is constantly evolving, with an ability to work as part of a progressive team but also have the drive and focus to take own initiative
  • Highly motivated and results focused with strong organisation skills.
  • Good understanding of IT systems, spreadsheets and data analysis.

While not crucial to apply the following would be a strong bonus!

  • Finance related Degree (or an equivalent / technical course)
  • Experience of FX, interest rate risk management as well as knowledge of financial instruments and derivative products
  • Experience of managing portfolio of customers within Financial Services setting

The Bank Of Ireland Global Markets Belfast Dealing team is part of the Corporate and Commercial Banking division and is responsible for providing a range of Treasury foreign exchange (FX), interest rate hedging (IRH) and money market products and services to a broad base of customers across Corporate Banking, Business Banking and Branch Banking in Northern Ireland.

This is an office based role, based primarily at Donegal Square, Belfast five days per week. Specific arrangements will be confirmed by your recruiter to ensure they meet the needs of the role and team.
