What is the opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Analyst to join the Paris based Origination team to assist team members assessing credit quality of a given transaction, proposing appropriate debt structure and terms and maintaining long-standing direct relationships with PE sponsors and debt advisors.

Credit analysis is the cornerstone of our work and you will be exposed through all stages of an LBO transaction process as each deal team navigates through our internal credit process and manages sponsor relationships/interaction externally which implies negotiation of documentation terms and funding/syndication ultimately.

This is an exciting and challenging career opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where there is opportunity to develop a full range of credit, relationship management and business development skills in an international context.

In this role, you will:

  • Review, interpret and challenge information/due diligence reports;
  • Participate in the analysis of LBO transactions: assist team in preparing internal credit applications (i.e. presentation to analyse sector / industry risks, companies' and peers' performance, leverage level) by producing credit papers and ensuring all documents are submitted within deadlines;
  • Prepare financial projection modelling pertaining to a transaction;
  • Prepare pitch presentations for clients (new LBO transaction, refinancing, extension, restructuring) including presentation of company (products, markets, risks, SWOT, cash-flow generation) and presentation of proposed financing structures;
  • Work on legal documentation; and
  • Contribute to ensure the Paris branch adheres to best in class standards regarding compliance / operational risk (KYC, filings...).

  • Good knowledge in finance and accounting, modelling skills appreciated;
  • Strong analytical and technical skills;
  • Fluency in French and English;
  • Rigorous, autonomous, willing to learn and entrepreneurial;
  • Ability to work accurately, achieve deadlines is important for this role;
  • Team spirit.

Essential qualifications

  • Top Tiers business schools, engineering schools and universities with major in Finance;
  • Previous experience (full-time, internship, VIE) required in leveraged finance/private debt, corporate finance, private equity or transaction services;

Global Acquisition Finance's mandate is to originate, structure and arrange acquisition debt facilities in support of key private equity clients. The business has a substantial loan book with assets sourced across the UK, European and US leveraged loan markets.
