What is the opportunity?

This role offers the opportunity to lead a high impact category strategy within a transforming financial services organisation shaping markets, driving innovation, and influencing senior decision making. You will define and implement end to end category strategies, deliver major commercial and sourcing outcomes, and strengthen supplier performance, resilience, and regulatory compliance.

The role partners closely with senior leaders, leads strategic supplier relationships, and brings innovative capabilities such as AI enabled services and fintech/regtech solutions into the Bank. With responsibility for commercial delivery, governance, risk alignment, and team leadership, this is a chance to deliver important enterprise value and play a key role in the Bank's modernisation and transformation journey.

What will make you stand out?

We are looking for individuals with strong critical thinking who will help shape long-term category plans aligned to Group priorities. Your commercial competence ensures sound financial judgement, sharp negotiation, and a focus on enterprise value. You will champion innovation by identifying emerging technologies and new sourcing models, while using data, analytics, and market insight to guide decisions. You will build effective relationships across senior partners, balancing collaboration with clear accountability and strong risk awareness to maintain robust governance and operational resilience. As a leader, you will develop talent, drive high performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Essential Qualifications

  • Significant experience in procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Strong commercial track record delivering enterprise-level commercial value, performance improvement, and cost optimisation.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex supplier landscapes, high-value negotiations, and strategic commercial engagements.
  • Exposure to technology-enabled solutions, emerging supplier innovations, or fintech/regtech markets.
  • Strong understanding of Irish/EU regulatory requirements relating to outsourcing, ICT risk, data protection, and supplier oversight.
  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation, modernisation or digitisation programmes.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience assessing joint ventures, co-sourcing arrangements, strategic alliances, or investment-linked sourcing models.
  • Experience in innovation delivery, pilots, proofs of concept or technology market scanning.
  • Professional procurement qualification (e.g., CIPS).

As part of Shared Services within the Enterprise Services team, we play a central role in facilitating the efficient and effective purchase of goods and services. Our focus is on improving value from the Bank's total spend, strengthening our relationships with critical partners, and ensuring the organisation is protected from supplier-related risks.

Ultimately, we help the Bank buy better, work smarter, and operate safely so that every euro spent supports strategic outcomes and delivers lasting value.

This is a hybrid role, based primarily at Baggot plaza, Dublin. We typically ask colleagues to spend a minimum of 8 days per month working in-person to support collaboration and connection. Specific arrangements will be confirmed by your recruiter to ensure they meet the needs of the role and team.
