What is the opportunity?

As the Technical Services Owner for Digital Services, you will support the Bank in ensuring it maintains resilient technical services both now and into the future. In performing this function, you will assess the impact of all change including design, volume, currency and security requirements. Digital Services are at the heart of our relationship with our customers and form our most strategic channel.

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain the Intellectual Property (IP) for the DSO area including end to end knowledge management from an infrastructure, middleware and application perspective.
  • Assess the design of new/amended IT services and ensure that the necessary operational support requirements are considered
  • Challenge our Service Partners and 3rd parties to ensure proactive and effective service delivery.
  • Keep abreast of technical developments and tooling that could assist the Bank, develop expertise in the Bank's diagnostic tools and recommend proactive service monitoring improvements
  • Support the drafting and review of Group IT risks where required
  • Represent Digital Services Operations area at ARB

What will make you stand out?

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others, with strong attention to detail. Experience in working with multiple vendors, third party suppliers, and cross functional teams, alongside a strong customer focused mindset and proven appreciation for risk management. You consistently demonstrate a continuous improvement approach, with proven experience presenting serviceimprovement initiatives and discussing technical issues with both technical and non technical audiences at all levels.

You also have a good understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE ) practices and experience working in cross functional environments to deliver faster, more reliable, and resilient services. Your technical capabilities span automation and self healing solutions, as well as hands on experience with technologies such as AWS Cloud, ECS, React, Spring Boot, MuleSoft Flex Gateway, MuleSoft, MQ, HID ActivID, AppDynamics, Grafana, Splunk, ELK, Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence.

  • Site Reliability Engineering certification
  • DevOps Certification or equivalent
  • Cloud Service Architecture Certification or equivalent
  • Mulesoft Certification
  • REACT Certification
  • AI Certification
  • Observability tooling (e.g. App Dynamics / Grafana, Splunk) configuration and dashboard creation

The Digital Services Operations area are accountable for the end-to-end maintenance and support of the banks key customer facing online channels. We provide management, oversight and Governance for all Digital Banking Services delivered through a collaboration with Bank or Ireland and its partners.

This is a hybrid role, based primarily at Cabinteely Dublin. We typically ask colleagues to spend a minimum of 8 days per month working in-person to support collaboration and connection. Specific arrangements will be confirmed by your recruiter to ensure they meet the needs of the role and team.
