What is the opportunity?

We are looking for a Cloud Site Reliability Engineer to join our Cloud Centre of Excellence.

In this hands-on role, you will help ensure our cloud platforms are reliable, secure and available for colleagues and customers. Working closely with engineering and operations teams, you'll play a key role in improving resilience, performance and automation across our public cloud environments.

This is a great opportunity to deepen your cloud expertise while contributing to the Bank's digital transformation journey.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with platform and engineering teams to deliver reliable, well performing cloud services that meet agreed standards.
  • Monitor system health and performance, identifying risks early and supporting improvements to availability and resilience.
  • Automate operational processes to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
  • Support incident and problem management, including post incident reviews and preventative actions.
  • Maintain clear operational documentation and contribute to risk identification and mitigation activities.

What will make you stand out?

You bring practical experience supporting cloud based platforms in business critical environments and enjoy solving complex technical challenges. You show proven experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure.

You are comfortable working with public cloud infrastructure and understand the value of automation, monitoring and clear operational processes. You have solid Linux or Unix skills and enjoy scripting to simplify tasks.

You communicate clearly, collaborate well with others and remain calm in fast-paced environments. Your analytical attitude helps you identify root causes and drive meaningful improvements.

Experience with the following will help you stand out but is not required to apply for this role:

  • Relevant IT diploma or degree
  • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) related certification
  • Cloud certifications such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure

The Infrastructure Operations team enables secure, stable and modern technology services that support the Bank's day to day operations.

The Cloud Centre of Excellence acts as a trusted advisor for cloud adoption, helping teams use cloud technologies safely and optimally.

Together, the team supports digital transformation by improving resilience, driving standard process and ensuring our cloud platforms continue to evolve to meet business and customer needs.

This is a hybrid role, based primarily in Cabinteely, Dublin. We typically ask colleagues to spend a minimum of 8 days per month working in-person to support teamwork and connection. Specific arrangements will be confirmed by your recruiter to ensure they meet the needs of the role and team.
