What is the opportunity?

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and strengthening Product Governance and Conduct Risk across Bank of Ireland UK. You'll help ensure that our products, services and processes deliver good customer outcomes while supporting the Bank's strategic ambitions.

Working within the second line of defence, you'll act as a trusted advisor and constructive challenger, helping the business identify and manage conduct risk, enhance governance frameworks, and embed customer-focused decision making. You'll also have the opportunity to lead and develop a team while influencing change across a wide range of partners.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the enhancement of the Bank's Product Governance framework, including policies, controls, product approval processes and product lifecycle reviews.
  • Provide expert advice, support and constructive challenge on conduct risk matters, helping colleagues understand risks and improve customer outcomes.
  • Review and challenge risk management approaches across the business, ensuring conduct risks are identified, managed and monitored effectively.
  • Identify emerging conduct, regulatory and reputational risks through horizon scanning, partner engagement and analysis of management information, communicating findings clearly to key partners.
  • Manage and develop members of the Conduct Risk Team, creating a collaborative and supportive environment while promoting continuous improvement.

What will make you stand out?

You'll be a confident communicator who can build strong relationships and influence partners at all levels. You enjoy working collaboratively, balancing challenge with support, and can explain complex concepts in a clear and practical way.

You'll be organised, adaptable and comfortable working in a changing environment, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines. A passion for customer outcomes, strong judgement and a proactive approach to problem solving will help you succeed in this role.

Experience with the following will help you stand out but is not required to apply for this role:

  • Product Governance, Conduct Risk or Compliance within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Understanding of UK banking operations and the UK regulatory environment.
  • Leading change initiatives, developing frameworks or implementing new controls.
  • Managing, coaching or developing colleagues and teams.

Essential Qualifications
