What is the opportunity?

This is a great opportunity to join a growing architecture community, where you will take ownership of end-to-end technical solutions across large, complex programmes. As a Senior Solution Architect, you will focus on designing and delivering API led solutions that meet real customer needs.

You will work within the core of our modern engineering function, contributing to key investment initiatives while developing your expertise in an encouraging and evolving environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the design and delivery of end-to-end API solutions, ensuring they meet business needs and align with wider solution architecture
  • Collaborate with business partners and delivery teams to refine requirements, identify risks, and support planning and estimation activities
  • Ensure design consistency by reviewing architecture artefacts and guiding technical teams throughout delivery
  • Promote standard process in API design, helping to continuously improve standards and approaches across the team
  • Support iterative delivery by working closely with engineering teams across build, test and release activities

What will make you stand out?

  • Highly experienced solution architect with a consistent record in designing solutions for large-scale API integration projects within complex, multi-vendor change delivery environments.
  • Brings strong expertise in REST API design, along with a working knowledge of SOAP services where required.
  • Shows strength in modern API management platforms such as MuleSoft Anypoint (or similar), alongside solid development experience using Spring Boot.
  • Well-versed in messaging technologies including MQ and Kafka, and applies established integration patterns to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
  • Possesses strong knowledge of distributed and clustered system design, including ECS and Kubernetes, enabling robust and resilient architectures. Additionally, has a thorough understanding of authentication and authorisation mechanisms, as well as API policies and standards to ensure secure, compliant, and well-governed integrations.

The team works on a wide range of initiatives, driving innovation through modern engineering practices and API-led design. You'll be part of a supportive environment that values knowledge sharing, continuous learning and professional growth.

This is a hybrid role, based primarily in Baggot Plaza, Dublin. We typically ask colleagues to spend a minimum of 8 days per month working in-person to support collaboration and connection. Specific arrangements will be confirmed by your recruiter to ensure they meet the needs of the role and team.
